As Vice President of Development, Ms. Kausner leads a development portfolio of 4M square feet of mixed-use and commercial assets, comprising nearly 2,500 residential units, valued at more than $1.5B. She is responsible for the oversight of new development projects, including due diligence, design, entitlement, permitting, construction, and transition to operations. Prior to joining Washington Property Company in 2012, Ms. Kausner held several positions as an archtitectural historian with expertise in historic rehabilitation tax credit and adaptive reuse development projects.

Ms. Kausner holds an M.S. in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University, an M.A. in Historic Preservation from Goucher College, and a B.A. in Art History from the University of Delaware. She lives in Bethesda, MD, with her husband and daughter.
